Patrick Michaels’ concentrates his practice in the areas of mergers and acquisitions, financing, securities law, corporate and business transactions, corporate and business reorganizations, banking and regulatory matters, and taxation matters. A Certified Public Accountant, Patrick has held many directorships at various banks throughout the region and is a frequent speaker at in-house seminars hosted by various clients.
Patrick’s representative matters include representing a publicly traded company in a $65 million securities swap, counsel for a publicly traded company in a $1 billion dollar merger, representing a non-publicly traded company in a $12 million disposition and representation of a lender in a $55 million financing of a multi-state car dealership.

He is a member of many associations, including the Indiana State Bar, the Allen County, and the American Bar Associations. He is a member of the Indiana Association of Certified Public Accountants and the Indiana Bar Foundation. Patrick is on the Board of Directors at Junior Achievement of Northeast Indiana, Mad Anthonys Inc., and is a member of the Quest Club. He was named the 2008 “Person of the Year” by the University of Notre Dame’s Alumni Club of Fort Wayne for professional and civic accomplishments.
Patrick received his B.B.A from the University of Notre Dame in 1968, and his J.D. from Georgetown University in 1973. He is admitted to practice before all Indiana state courts, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana, the Seventh Circuit Court of Appeals, and the United States Tax Court.
