Kistler will be a presenter at the Indiana Continuing Legal Education Forum’s “What’s New in Employee Benefits” seminar on Wednesday, August 22, 2018 in Indianapolis. His presentation is titled “Benefits Eligibility Issues in Leaves of Absence.” Mr. Kistler will be covering the importance of the tracking process during an employee’s leave of absence, as well as covering recent case law where issues arose during a leave of absence and the legal ramifications of those decisions. He will also discuss eligibility requirements for group health plans, life insurance and other benefits for an employee.
Mr. Kistlerconcentrates his practice in the area of employee benefits and health care law. He works with employers, plan administrators and services providers to advise on plan design and administration, fiduciary responsibilities, plan compliance and plan corrections.
