• Employment and Labor experience in matters involving the National Labor Relations Act, Family Medical Leave Act, Age Discrimination In Employment Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Fair Labor Standards Act, and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, including discrimination and harassment
• Insurance Defense practice concentrating in the areas of bodily injury, worker`s compensation, alternative dispute resolution, and coverage issues
• Admitted to practice before the Indiana state courts, the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth and Seventh Circuits, the United States District Court for the Northern and Southern Districts of Indiana

EXPERIENCE

• Extensive experience in defending all types of employment claims brought before the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission, Indiana Civil Rights Commission, Department of Labor and in the federal courts including, but not limited to, defense of claims based on The Americans With Disabilities Act, the Age Discrimination In Employment Act, the Fair Labor Standards Act, the Family Medical Leave Act and Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, claims based on race, sex, national origin, religion and sexual harassment.
• Extensive experience advising employers of all sizes in all aspects of employment and labor matters involving employee handbooks, personnel decisions, hiring/firing, labor arbitrations, investigations, wage and hours issues, EEOC, NLRB proceedings and enforcement of non-compete agreements.

PROFESSIONAL INVOLVEMENT

• Presented more than 100 lectures and/or seminars at the state and local level for the National Business Institute, Council on Education in Management, Lorman Educational Services and the Defense Trial Counsel of Indiana on various labor and employment topics
