Resolving a legal dispute may not always require a courtroom. Through Alternative Dispute Resolution, which can include arbitration and mediation, parties can work outside the judicial system to resolve disputes that normally would be presented to a judge or jury, often at significant savings in terms of time and money.

The attorneys of Barrett & McNagny's litigation practice have extensive experience in representing clients in arbitrations before the AAA and other arbitral tribunals. Moreover, mediation, at either the state or federal level, occurs in the vast majority of all litigation.

In addition, the attorneys of Barrett & McNagny's Alternative Dispute Resolution practice frequently serve as neutral arbitrators and mediators assisting parties engaged in a variety of disputes, including trust and estate matters, medical malpractice, business and corporate litigation, personal injury and property damage claims, bankruptcy and creditors' rights issues, intellectual property matters, contract disputes, and labor and employment matters.

Built in 1895, our historic building offers a variety of large and small conference rooms that are well equipped to serve for mediations or arbitrations of any size. Barrett & McNagny is centrally located in downtown Fort Wayne, near the corner of Barr and Berry Streets. Conference rooms can be reserved on the same floor or on different floors to suit the needs of the parties involved.
